"Was $99, now $49" usually means it was never really $99. The Bargain Boy checks every candidate deal against its actual 90-day Amazon price history before it gets posted. If the "deal" price isn't meaningfully below what the product has really been selling for, it's rejected. Most are.

How we verify

Before a deal is listed we compare today's price with that product's 90-day average and its 90-day low. We re-check listed deals several times a day. When the price bounces back up or the offer disappears, the deal comes off the live list. Each deal page shows the 90-day average, the 90-day low, and when the price was last checked.

Deals also have to clear a quality bar: real ratings from real review histories, recognizable brands or exceptional products, and no junk. A small number of deals a day make the cut, on purpose.
